Philosophy
"Therapy can be difficult work, but it doesn't have to feel clinical or cold."
In my practice, I provide individual and group counseling for children and adolescents (ages 6 - 17), and I support their parents and/or guardians as part of the therapeutic process. My style is collaborative and compassionate, and I approach therapy as a partnership. Each individual is equipped with their own unique characteristics, strengths, and perspectives. I believe in setting goals together with my clients, and I support making adjustments along the way if that will help facilitate progress. My practice is safe, non-discriminatory, and proudly LGBTQIA+ affirming. I value respect, non-judgement, empathy, and understanding, and I approach therapy with these values in mind. Therapy can be difficult work, but it doesn't have to feel clinical or cold. My approach incorporates fun, creativity, play, and humor, and it is encouraging and empowering.
