Philosophy

"I notice that, after the tears, laughter often shows up during the most challenging sessions as a balm to help us through."

Welcome! I am a psychotherapist with an anti-oppression lens, and I center the needs of BIPOC women seeking care. My passion lies in offering culturally affirming, trauma-informed treatment that’s grounded in research yet tailored to the unique needs of the individuals I work with. My therapeutic style is a blend of warm, nonjudgmental, direct and a bit irreverent. As a relational therapist, I draw from a range of modalities—including client-centered, psychodynamic, mindfulness-based approaches, parts work, DBT, and EMDR. The therapeutic approaches I am most attracted to mirror my belief that people have an innate capacity for healing.
